Overview

An Andretti Track Mechanic is responsible for the service and upkeep of our state of the art hight speed gas and electric go karts. All positions are responsible for assisting guest in various areas, in many capacities and following Andretti Indoor Karting and Games high standards of quality Guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipates and responds to Guest in a friendly and positive manner with a sense of urgency.
  • Observe, instruct and monitor Guests for safety and guideline adherence.
  • Assists with Guest recovery and notifies manager to ensure positive Guest experiences.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with Guests and fellow co-workers.
  • Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments.
  • Attends all required department and company meetings and training sessions. 
  • Maintains a clean work area in compliance with Andretti Indoor Karting & Games policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of facility emergency procedures.
  • Performs Opening, Running and Closing department duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to proper uniform guidelines according to Andretti Indoor Karting and Games.
  • Displays excellent communication skills.
  • Shows eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Projects and articulates racing requirements and safety guidelines in a friendly and confident manner to Guests
  • Provides a safe racing experience for every participating Guest.
  • Performs kart repairs and regular performance maintenance check.
  • Maintains proper kart appearance and functionality.
  • Handles emergency situations as directed.
  • Conscientiously maintains, repairs and cleans karts, and tracks.
  • Ensures tools are used properly and stored as needed in locked cabinets.
  • Process Guest races in the Point of Sale and Timing systems.

Qualifications

Prior guest service experience is preferred. A Drug Test and Background Check is required prior to employment. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an Andretti Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of their job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Performs functions which require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing and stocking up to 100lbs.
  • Walk, run, jump or stand for long periods of time.
  • Desire to smile throughout shift.

  • The environment includes bright, dim or flashing lights, loud sounds and fast moving vehicles.
  • Ability to use a point of sale system and other electronic equipment as needed.
