Overview

Janitorial Associates are responsible for anticipating guest needs, and exceeding guest service expectations in keeping the facility neat and clean. All positions are responsible for assisting guests in various areas, in many capacities, and following Andretti Indoor Karting and Games high standards of quality Guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipates and responds to Guests in a friendly and positive manner with a sense of urgency.
  • Observe, instruct and monitor Guests for safety and guideline adherence.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with Guests and fellow co-workers.
  • Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments.
  • Attends all required department and company meetings and training sessions. 
  • Maintain a clean work area in compliance with Andretti Indoor Karting & Games policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of facility emergency procedures.
  • Performs Opening, Running and Closing department duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to proper uniform guidelines according to Andretti Indoor Karting and Games.
  • Displays excellent communication skills.
  • Shows eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Performs general clean up of all areas of the building- dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping etc.
  • Maintains routein upkeep of all exterior areas, green space and parking lot.
  • Removes garbage daily.
  • Handles emergency clean ups as directed.
  • Properly use cleaning chemicals, safety attire and tools.

Qualifications

Prior guest service experience is preferred. A Drug Test and Background Check is required prior to employment. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an Andretti Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of their job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Performs functions which require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing and stocking up to 75lbs.
  • Walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Will be subject to working at heights up to 40 feet.
  • Work days, nights, holidays and weekends.
  • The environment includes bright, dim or flashing lights and loud sounds.
  • Familarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Maintain safety standards at all times.
  • Pleasant, upbeat and sociable personality.
