Overview

An Andretti Line/Prep Cook is responsible for exceeding guest service expectations with the Andretti menu and plate presentation all while providing a fun and exciting atmosphere. All positions are responsible for assisting guests in various areas, in many capacities, and following Andretti Indoor Karting and Games high standards of quality Guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipates and responds to Guests in a friendly and positive manner with a sense of urgency.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with Guests and fellow co-workers.
  • Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments.
  • Attends all required department and company meetings and training sessions. 
  • Maintains a clean work area in compliance with Andretti Indoor Karting & Games policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of facility emergency procedures.
  • Performs Opening, Running and Closing department duties as assigned.
  • Follows proper uniform guidelines according to Andretti Indoor Karting and Games.
  • Displays excellent communication skills.
  • Shows eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Sets up, stocks and organizes work station throughout the shift.
  • Practices proper storeroom and inventory control procedures.
  • Understands the safety practices and knows correct set up, operation, break down and cleanup of all equipment.
  • Labels, dates and properly stores prepped and cooked foods.
  • Follows proper safety and sanitation guidelines according to local and company health regulations.

Qualifications

2+ years prior cooking experience is preferred. A Drug Test and Background Check is required prior to employment. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an Andretti Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of their job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Performs functions which require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing and stocking up to 50lbs.
  • Walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Desire to smile throughout shift.
  • Proper usage of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Work days, nights, holidays and weekends.
  • The environment includes bright, dim or flashing lights and loud sounds.
  • Ability to produce station menu items in accordance with Andretti standards and ticket time goals.
  • Maintain safety standards at all times.
  • Exhibits pleasant, upbeat and sociable personality.
  • Shows willingness to learn, retain information and work as a group or alone.
