Overview

An Andretti Bartender is responsible for anticipating guest needs, and exceeding guest service expectations all while providing a fun and exciting atmosphere. All positions are responsible for assisting guests in various areas, in many capacities, and following Andretti Indoor Karting and Games high standards of quality Guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipates and responds to Guests in a friendly and positive manner with a sense of urgency.
  • Observe, instruct and monitor Guests for safety and guideline adherence.
  • Assists with Guest recovery and notifies manager to ensure positive Guest experiences.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with Guests and fellow co-workers.
  • Works as a team player in meeting guests' needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments.
  • Attends all required department and company meetings and training sessions. 
  • Maintain a clean work area in compliance with Andretti Indoor Karting & Games policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of facility emergency procedures.
  • Performs Opening, Running and Closing department duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to proper uniform according to Andretti Indoor Karting and Games guidelines.
  • Displays excellent communication skills.
  • Shows eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Greets Guest and takes orders within Andretti guidelines, always exceeding Guests expectations.
  • Prepare standard and specialty mixed drinks, pour wine and beer quickly, accurately, and without waste.
  • Delivers food and beverage in a professional manner according to Andretti standards.
  • Collects payment for all items purchased and consumed and operates the Point of Sale system with ease.
  • Maintains an organized work area and proactively cleans and resets tables.
  • Orders and maintains liquor and bar supplies, display bottles in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
  • Properly disposes of broken glassware.
  • Follows safety and sanitation guidelines in accordance to local health regulations.
  • Sufficiently handles and accurately counts money.
  • Checks identification of any guest consuming alcohol.
  • Follows all state and company guidelines regarding beverage services.

Qualifications

2+ years prior bartender experience is preferred. Valid Pouring License is required (pending location). A Drug Test and Background Check is required prior to employment. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an Andretti Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of their job.   • Performs functions which require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing and stocking up to 50lbs.
  • Walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Desire to smile throughout shift.
  • Work days, nights, holidays and weekends.
  • The environment includes bright, dim or flashing lights and loud sounds.
  • Ability to use a point of sale system and other electronic equipment as needed.
  • Maintain safety standards at all times.
  • Good memory, listening skills.
